Deliciously crunchy and flavorful. Most supermarket cucumbers are grown hydroponically so they are watery and lack any flavour definition. When grown in soil organically, cucumbers are much more flavorful, sweet and crunchy. The cucumber variety we grow is a short fruited, smooth skinned variety similar to a 'Lebanese' cucumber. There should be no need to peel these, as their skin isn't as tough as other varieties.
Simply grate your cucumbers, squeeze out the excess liquid, combine with an equal part full fat greek yoghurt, grate in 1-2 cloves of garlic and a dash of salt, pepper and vinegar for the best summer dip. We can't get enough of it and there always is a tub of freshly made tzatziki in our household.
