Radishes are an old favourite beloved by gardeners and chefs alike. They are crisp, juicy, with a mild peppery taste. These radishes can be enjoyed in many ways. They can be eaten raw as a snack, either sliced or whole with a pinch of salt or butter or they make a great addition to salads and sandwiches. We love quick- pickling them (by pouring over a hot brine) and using them as a delicious, tangy and crunchy addition to burgers, sandwiches or sushi. They are also delicious roasted; tossed in oil, salt and pepper as it brings out their natural sweetness and mellows their peppery bite. All radishes tend to be slightly spicier in the summer months.
