About our Celeriac

Celeriac is the less common cousin of celery. Although celery is grown for its juicy, long stems, celeriac is grown for its fragrant, starchy root. It might often seem intimidating with its knobbly, rough exterior, but when you peel away the skin it reveals a ivory smooth flesh. Like any root vegetable, celeriac is incredibly versatile. It has an aromatic, celery- like taste, and it will also store for months in your fridge or the correct outdoor conditions. Celeriac can be turned into soups, roasted in the oven, mashed or generally used in any way other root vegetables can be used. More creative uses can include making coleslaw or using it as a vegan 'steak' alternative.
