Highly aromatic and stronger than its dried counterpart, fresh thyme adds a pop of flavour to tomato sauces, risottos and stews. Strip the leaves down the stem and then finely chop and add into your cooking Fresh herbs are highly aromatic and flavorful, but their flavour compounds are susceptible to deterioration under high heat. For best cooking results (with the most prominent herb flavour) , add your fresh herbs 5-10 minutes before your dish has finished cooking. Adding them at the start will mellow the flavour for a less prominent effect.
Best stored in the fridge in an airtight container. Thyme can also be processed and frozen, to be added to your cooking at a later date. The leaves may darken after freezing, but they still retain their full flavour
