Lovage is a lesser-known, but highly aromatic herb in the same family as parsley and celery. It has a strong, distinct celery like flavour, and a little goes a long way! Chefs and food creatives love it, and we have tried many lovage flavoured culinary delights over the years- from Kombucha, to sauces, cocktails with Gin, even added as the main herb to homemade sausages. It has also been used over the centuries for its medicinal properties. As lovage is strong in flavour, we recommend using sparingly. You can freeze or dry excess for a later date. Some of the easiest ways to use the herb is to pair with potatoes- either boiling potatoes with a sprig of lovage, or making a potato and lovage soup!
